Yes. The Full Wall Kit is five angled walls covering arm positions 2 through 6 - position 1 sits against the vehicle, so the vehicle closes that side. Four walls have windows with roll-up flaps and one is the full entrance door with a separate mesh door. The walls zip to the awning above and to each other down the sides, so the run seals as one continuous wall. All pegs, a peg bag and a carry bag are included. The zippers are already sewn into this awning at every wall position, so nothing needs modifying.

Yes. The Duo 6ARM is a freestanding 270 degree awning - it hangs from your mounting surface (roof rack, canopy rails or rooftop tent) without needing to touch the ground to hold its shape. Once the ratchet ropes are tensioned, the awning is set. The telescopic legs can be dropped for optional additional support but are not required. Your rack and brackets must be strong enough to support the 29kg awning weight.

Yes, one person can set it up. The process follows the same core sequence as the 4-arm models - unzip, release straps, walk the awning around, tension the ratchet ropes. There are more arms to deploy, so a second person can make the first couple of setups easier while you learn the sequence. Once you know the order, solo setup is straightforward.

The 6ARM has 6 arms with 2.0-metre reach, LED lighting on 5 arms with every arm independently switchable, 2 ratchet ropes, 5 included legs, and longer wall corridor coverage. The 2.5M has 4 arms with longer 2.5-metre reach in a simpler, faster setup. The actual square-metre shade coverage is similar - it is a preference decision. The 6ARM gives you more wall kit options and more lighting control. The 2.5M gives you maximum straight-line reach from the vehicle. Both include D Zip, rear water channel flap and anti-pooling legs.

LED strips are built into 5 of the 6 awning arms, and every arm is independently switchable - run one light or all of them, warm white or cool white. Two USB-A dimmer controllers are included: the rear four arms run through a 4-into-1 adaptor on one dimmer, and the front LED arm runs on its own dimmer. Plug the push-in connectors into the arms and connect the dimmers to any USB-A power source - a power bank, vehicle USB outlet, or camp battery system. The power source is not included.

The front arm closest to the awning back plate does not include an LED strip due to the way the arms fold for storage. The fold geometry on that arm does not allow for a reliable lighting connection. The remaining 5 arms all have integrated LED strips, each independently switchable, giving you comprehensive lighting coverage across the full awning.

Yes. The 6ARM is fully compatible with rooftop tent setups when the correct brackets are used. The Rainger Revo-X is a complete ecosystem where the tent, awning and brackets are all designed to work together - and the 2.0M length sits about the same length as a Revo-X when installed for a clean, integrated look. For other RTT brands, not all tents support direct awning mounting - some brands with a dual bottom track will support it, while others may require mounting to the rack separately. Brackets are sold separately because no single bracket fits every rack, canopy and vehicle combination. Rainger offers Revo-X-specific awning brackets that mount directly to the RTT shell tracks, universal 7-way adjustable L-brackets for most setups, and guidance on rack-specific options from Rhino Rack, ARB and Front Runner. The rearmost bracket should be as close to the awning pivot as possible, with minimum 800mm spacing to the front bracket, and the front bracket as far forward as your rack or RTT allows. The D Zip is a zippered opening in the roof of the awning canopy. Unzip it and you have access up to your rooftop tent from underneath. On a ute or canopy setup with a rear-mounted ladder, you can climb up through the D Zip into the tent. It is also handy for passing gear up, letting light through when the awning feels dark, or unzipping to reduce wind catch in gusty conditions. On a wagon with a rear spare tire, you will typically use the side ladder for tent access as normal, but the D Zip is still useful for ventilation and convenience.

Most manufacturers have not worked out how to stop a D Zip from leaking. The Duo awning was designed from the very start with the D Zip in mind. We secured the right waterproof zipper for the application, the awning fabric is PU-lined and vacuum heat-sealed around the seams, and the D Zip shape is engineered so that water runs around the outskirts of the opening as it flows down the fabric - meaning very little water ever reaches the zip face. A protective top flap adds a further layer of water diversion. The result is a reliable, no-compromise D Zip that we include as standard - we do not even charge extra for it like most brands do.

One portable spigot leg is already included with the 6ARM - it inserts into the end of any front arm to add support where you want it. If you want more, additional telescopic legs are sold separately and work the same way: each has a spigot that inserts into an arm end at a position where there is not already an arm present.

The awning should be mounted as high as possible on vehicles with a rear lift-up tailgate. In some cases the tailgate may still contact the awning fabric when opened. If this is a real concern for your vehicle, consider the Rainger Duo 180 Degree Awning instead - it is fully side-mounted and will not interfere with any rear lift-up tailgate. The awning handles moderate wind well when both ratchet ropes are properly tensioned. In gusty conditions, use the arm-end tie-down points with guy ropes and pegs for additional anchoring. You can also unzip the D Zip to let wind pass through instead of catching the full canvas area. The anti-pooling legs and rain tabs help maintain canvas shape in rain and wind. Like any fabric awning, it should be packed away in severe storm conditions to avoid damage.

Air it out before long-term storage. The bag's anti-wick tongue and Velcro storm flaps limit how much water gets in while driving, but they do not eliminate it entirely. Water sitting inside a closed bag for extended periods will cause mould on any canvas, regardless of brand. Check the bag periodically, especially after wet trips, and open it up to dry if needed.
